2016 AOB Postdoc Tal Sharf, PhD was hired as Assistant Professor in Biomolecular Engineering at UC Santa Cruz and started his new role on July 1st.
In addition, Tal Sharf, PhD published a paper that was funded by the Beckman Foundation in Nature Communications: "Functional neuronal circuitry and oscillatory dynamics in human brain organoids."
"This was such a cool project using state-of-the-art microelectrode arrays to study neuronal signaling in human brain organoids. This field is exploding right now and I plan to take this work to the next level collaborating with the Braingeneers team at UCSC in close collaboration with Daivd Haussler." - Tal Sharf, PhD
