New Online Exhibit Spotlights Mabel Beckman’s Early Years

Mabel Beckman (née Meinzer) used photographs to illustrate her own coming-of-age story around themes of family and friends, country and service, love and marriage. Check out our new online exhibit, “Through Mabel’s Eyes: A Photo Diary,” for a rare glimpse into the early years of her life during the Progressive Era, when America saw war, battled through a pandemic, and passed the 19th Amendment for women’s suffrage.
