Research Summary

Professor Brodsky’s work focuses on understanding how misfolded proteins are recognized and destroyed in the cell, and how defects in protein architecture can be corrected using drugs and genetic approaches.

There is no other resource to support our very best undergraduate students like the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. Scholars are given a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge topics in great depth, acquire valuable scientific skills, develop a network of like-minded colleagues, and become bona fide members of the research community. They are therefore ideally positioned for Ph.D. and/or M.D. programs after graduation and have ultimately become leaders in their respective fields.
