Research Summary
This proposal is focused on the synthesis of new boracyclic cations for the development of temperature-responsive materials to drive the chemistry necessary to develop next-generation materials and electronics (e.g., OLEDs, coatings for packaging, dyes for fabrics, heat sensors). The general method involves novel coordination chemistry approaches that rely on the strategic placement of cationic boron centers in heterocycles.
