Biography
Dr. Salvador Zárate is an Ethnic Studies trained anthropologist whose research interests include race, labor, and the ecology. A first-generation scholar, Dr. Zárate is committed to making higher education possible for diverse and underrepresented communities. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology at UC Irvine and serves on UC Irvine's Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Healing
(DIRHA) executive board as well as part of the UC Irvine Community Resilience faculty advisory group.
